Your home has lots of lights in it already, but you might be thinking that certain rooms could use a bit more illumination. At Masterpiece Lighting in Atlanta and Roswell, we can help you find that one light that could potentially transform a room, whether it’s your bedroom, living room, or front entryway. We’re dedicated to helping each customer find the perfect lighting options for his or her house!

The Living Room

Your living room likely has a central light fixture in it, such as a ceiling fan or a semi-flush mount fixture. Replacing an outdated fixture can transform a space, but in this blog, we’re going to look at what fixture you can add to make a space feel better. In the living room, lamps are often the solution, since most of the light is found on the ceiling or the walls. In addition to your ceiling light and wall sconces, a well-placed table or floor lamp can make your living room more inviting. Lamplight is more intimate, and with the right fixture, you can transform your seating or lounging area.

The Bedroom

Your bedroom likely has a ceiling fixture, such as a small chandelier or ceiling fan, as well as bedside lamps that make nighttime reading much easier. While these fixtures can be enough in the bedroom, where you may not want a lot of light, that doesn’t mean you can’t enhance the space with another fixture. If you have a chair in the corner, consider adding a hanging pendant above it. This will provide some accent illumination that you’re not getting from the other lights in the room.

The Front Entryway

The entryway is where you greet guests and where people get their first impression of your home. The ceiling fixture is the most important here, but that doesn’t mean it has to stand on its own (unless it’s an elaborate crystal chandelier – those often have no problem standing on their own). A well-placed wall sconce can bring more lighting to the lower portion of the room, since the ceiling fixture is shining light up, down, and all around the room. The sconce can also provide adequate task lighting when you’re putting on your shoes or your coat before you head out the door. The warm glow is also a nice welcome to come home to at the end of a long day.

These are just a few of the examples of how one fixture can transform a room and make it more functional, more comfortable, and more inviting. You may think that you have plenty of light in each room of your house, but there could be spots that you feel could use a bit more illumination. At Masterpiece, we’re here to help you find the ideal light fixtures, and we can provide assistance so that you go home with the perfect options.
